Almeria has some of the best beaches along the south east coastline of Spain. Below we have listed all the popular beaches in this area along with pictures for you to enjoy.

Cueva del Cura

La Garrofar
	It is a beach which is some 400 metres long. There is a campsite nearby and at both sides of the beach there are rocky areas suitable for scuba-diving; in fact it also has a snorkeling club. San Miguel de Cabo de Gata

San Miguel de Cabo de Gata
	As it is in the middle of the Cape Gata-Níjar Nature Park, this beach is protected. At the end nearest to García Tower, there are Roman remains from an old salt fish factory. San Miguel de Cabo de Gata

It lies on the edge of the Cape Gata-Nijar Nature Park and it owes its name to the Torre Garcia shrine. You can climb up this tower, which has spectacular views of a totally unspoiled beach. The sand is full of red and grey colours. The area can be accessed by a dirt road that comes from the Retamar housing complex.

El Sombrerico

Las Marinas (Bolaga)
	A beach located between the port of Garrucha and Puerto Rey. In recent years this beach has been provided with all kinds of infrastructures, including a promenade.
